Yerp. I live on the northshore and saw this on the way to work today. In a rare moment where there wasn't someone in a Yukon sitting 3" off my bumper, I managed to snap the pic without crashing.
Do you still live in NO or did you move?

I moved in 09. I lived in downtown for 3 years and in Harahan for a year and a half? But, having made the drive to northshore a few times, you don't forget it.

I've only been here about 10 months, and I am already completely numb to it. From the moment I go through the toll plaza, I slip into this semi-trance state. As soon as I get to that U-Haul lot in Metairie I regain full consciousness but have only a vague recollection of the last 30 minutes.
The rhythmic th-thump of the expansion gaps used to put me right to sleep, so I'm glad that doesn't happen anymore.

I may have done some excessive speeding on that bridge at night. That's what happens when a friend lets you drive their sports car because you are a better driver. My office was in Metairie on river road by the Huey P. Long bridge. I used to eat at WOW all the time. Mmmm I still miss those mexican tenders.

I noticed this week they started putting those signs up every 1/10 mile. Any idea why they have so many? I always though the call boxes were plenty enough to tell where you were?

That was at about 8 this morning, actually. Just took my sweet time to post. I will say, though, that when we get a storm over the lake it's scary as shit to drive on this thing.
